---------CHRISTMAS MESSAGE FROM OUR PASTOR------

Dear Parishioners,

I wish you all, a holy and blessed Christmas. During the Advent Season, it has been my prayer that we would find moments to reflect on our own faith and relationship with our Lord, Jesus Christ. My dear friends, let us put it this way, our ultimate desire is Jesus Himself. For this reason, we are filled with joy and consolation at Christmas, knowing that all that we hoped for has been fulfilled in the person of the Christ Child. In the midst of all our current challenges and concerns, the love of God, the Father, is manifested to us in the wonderful gift of His Son, Jesus. With the angels in Bethlehem, our faith moves us to sing: “Glory to God in the highest and peace to His people on earth!” Let us recognize that true peace on earth flows from our recognition and praise of God in our lives. Christmas has a way of bringing to Church individuals and families who, for various reasons, have not been to Mass or received the Sacraments for months or years. What a wonderful and grace-filled opportunity to put aside past differences and old habits and begin anew that prayerful relationship with the Lord and His Church community. With that in mind, I extend to all of you an open, grateful heart of welcome. Together, may we grow in strength and grace by celebrating together God’s presence in our lives. May our Lord Jesus Christ, born in Bethlehem, bless you, your families and loved ones at this blessed time of hope and grace. May Mary, the Mother of the Child Jesus and our Mother, watch over you and may our patron saint, St. Jude, protect you. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Rev. Salvador Reyes Jr. (Fr. Jun)

Remember the Elderly this Christmas

Pope Francis reminds us that our obligation to visit the elderly is more significant than ever as the number of elderly people grows. This Christmas consider visiting the seniors in our community who may be feeling lonely or isolated during this season. “Social isolation and loneliness are as bad for your health as smoking 15 cigarettes a day,” Jacques Lee, a Toronto-based emergency physician, told Global News.  To learn more about ways you can support the elderly in our community, please visit chabc.rcav.org/seniorsatchristmas

STEWARDSHIP REFLECTION

Hail, full of grace, the Lord is with you!
- Luke 1:28

After Jesus, we look to Mary as an ideal steward. Her entire life was lived in obedience to God’s call. Mary teaches us to live  with joy for all we have been given. Just as the moon reflects the  light of the sun, Mary reflects the light of Christ. Like Mary, we  are called to reflect Christ’s light to the world through our gratitude and generosity.
